Once a year CAMRA, which is based in St Albans, hosts a beer festival which sees many visitors to the Alban arena and many jolly souls leaving afterwards. For the past couple of years we have offered our volunteering services and have taken to the main bar where we have served beer for a few hours in return for free beer tokens, food tokens, a staff party and a charity donation. It was my first year and it was great fun having a laugh with the table members and watching the clients get more and more sozzled through the evening. Over all the 35000 pints!
The festival was a great success for the organisers and for us and we will be back again next year to do our bit, hope to see you there
