It isn’t often that we get the chance to all go away together, we all have our lives to attend to and the usually Monday night is a break from that. So it’s nice when the opportunity to spend a longer period of time together comes up we jump on because we know it will not only a great weekend but a great weekend with friends and partners alike.
The annual euro meeting is a great chance for this to happen as well as meeting more like minded people in our European partner countries. This year we were very kindly hosted by the Trier Table who had their 20th anniversary and really set the bar high!
We had a wonderfully cosy BBQ in the forest on the Friday night where we got our party shoes on, drank beer, ate loads of meat and took part in the entertainment laid on by each country. Our offering was a paper aeroplane competition that was judged on creativity of decoration and distance flown. There were some brilliant offerings but the undisputed winner was the bunny plane. It didn’t fly but it looked great.
On the Saturday there was a wine tasting in the afternoon followed by a charity gala night which was black tie and looked very swish! We all scrubbed up well in our tuxedos and after a lovely dinner the auction raised a fantastic 11500 euros for a chosen charity.
We are all looking forward to the next international event in France and wish the French all the best in matching the German’s.
Thanks you so much to our hosts this year, it truly was a fantastic weekend and will hopefully inspire many more to attend each and every year!
